Fly Fishing the Weber River
Sandwiched between two reservoirs in the Wasatch foothills, the Weber's middle section is a surprisingly productive tailwater running cold and clear through open ranch country near Wanship and Coalville, where big brown trout hold in undercut banks and deep runs year-round. Its proximity to the Wasatch Front makes it Utah's most accessible quality trout fishery.

Along the Weber River
The Middle Weber between Rockport and Echo Reservoirs (Wanship to Coalville) is the most productive section. Access is a mix of public and private land; Utah's Walk-In Access (WIA) program provides well-signed entry points along the river corridor, with Creamery Lane and Spring Chicken WIA sites among the most used.
